U13 Michell Opens OBL Weekend #1 with Two Wins
In the girls’ first game, they faced the County Clippers and got off to a slow start, falling behind early. The momentum shifted when they turned up the intensity on defense, forcing several turnovers. Capitalizing on those mistakes, they took control of the game and pulled away for a dominant 44–20 win.
Their second game was a rematch with the Kingston Impact, the team that had eliminated them at last season’s Ontario Cup. Determined to set a different tone, they came out strong and jumped to an early 12–0 lead. With only eight players on the roster, fatigue began to set in as the game wore on and the lead started to shrink. Even while facing a much taller opponent, they showed determination and composure down the stretch, holding on for a hard-fought 33–30 victory.
